Ministry Intensives
Need some strategies and skills for ministry among children and teenagers, but don’t have much time?
Youthworks College offers ministry electives in Youth Ministry and Children’s Ministry in intensive mode at various times of the year. The units form part of the full time Diploma of Theology/Diploma of Ministry program taught at the College, but can be taken as individual units for anyone seeking further training in these ministry areas.
Suitable for people of all ages involved in youth or children’s ministries, the intensive units provide an excellent opportunity to gain some useful training and theological reflection on your ministry.
How does it work?
Over six days living in at the College in Loftus you will receive expert instruction that will give you the necessary theological foundations and skills for effective ministry to children and young people.
The courses are awarded by the Australian College of Theology and can be taken for credit towards the Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses offered by the College. With no time limit on completing the remaining courses you can return to complete the program when you choose.

Summer Intensives
Join the full time students in six days of training sessions spread over two weeks (Monday to Wednesday). Participants are able to share together in a residential community experience with many other ministry trainees. Assessment tasks completed after the intensive period give credit towards the Diploma of Theology awarded by the Australian College of Theology.

Subjects Offered
Subjects offered in the summer intensive in 2012 are DM211, DM222, DM210/DM310 and DM220/DM320
Fees
$1104 per unit (200 level); $1492 per unit (300 level) - Australian College of Theology tuition fee
$880 per unit (200 level); $1200 per unit (300 level) - Audit fees (no assessment or ACTh Enrolment)
$75 - Lunches
$160 - Accommodation (dinner, bed and breakfast, Monday and Tuesday night of both weeks)
$120 - Accommodation (bed and breakfast) Wednesday to Sunday night (in between teaching days for those distance students who require accommodation throughout the week.)
Adelaide Intensive
In partnership with the Bible College of South Australia, Youthworks College lecturers present the two youth ministry intensives in Adelaide in July and September in alternate years.
